Location:    Near Nkhata Bay in Lake Malawi

Adult size:    4 1/2 inches (12 cm)

Diet:    insectivore

Labidochromis caeruleus from other locations can be yellow (Lions Cove), white with black stripes (Lundo Island), or white with a light hint of blue (Undu Point).

Personal notes:  This is the white color morph of Labidochromis caeruleus from around Nkhata Bay.

The "white lab" is a pure solid white in a strong light.  The above pictures are of two males.

In a darker light you can start to see hints of blue and a hint of yellow below the dorsal fins.  (My camera seems to enhance the blue for some reason.)

In some moods, the "white lab" will show some faint vertical barring.
