Name:    Pseudotropheus sp. "williamsi north" Makonde

Common name:

Location:   Near Makonde, Tanzania in Lake Malawi

Adult size:    male: 6 1/2 inches (17 cm)

Diet:    omnivore

Personal notes:  I purchased four adult Pseudotropheus sp. "williamsi north" in 2010.  They were already around 3.5 inches when purchased and grew rather large rather quickly.  I liked this species quite a bit however the dominant male was extremely aggressive and I only had a 40 gallon long tank for them which seemed inadequate.  When a friend expressed an interest in them I gave them away.  I hope to keep this mbuna again one day when I can properly house them in a 75 gallon or larger aquarium.
